Sitemap

I just added a sitemap to stephenserious.com, there are two formats available, one is a technical xml file mainly used by search engines, and the other is in the form of a webpage, there is also a comprehensive content list on the offsite-links page.

The xml sitemap will not include the mobile section of stephenserious.com as I may add a secondary xml sitemap file for stephenserious.com/m at a later date.

HOW TO – Hook Up PC To TV

First of all you will need a TV with a RGB input, this is where
your VGA output from your pc will connect to the TV as
shown in the following image “INPUT6″.

If your TV doesn’t have a RGB input, you must use the
component (RCA) input as shown in the above image “INPUT3″
using a “Super VGA to Component (RGB) cable”.

Hook up the required cable to the VGA output on your pc as
shown in the following image.

After the pc is hooked up to the TV you need to set the display
to extended and make some changes on the pc for resolution,
choose the settings that best fit your TV screen.
After all this video set-up its time to hook up the sound, this is
very simple if you are just listening to your pc through your TV.
Using a 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack, hook this up to the corrisponding
input to your TV from the earphone jack of the pc as shown in
the following image.

stephenserious – Introduction

INTRODUCTION…
This blog is to compliment my website, stephenserious.com was set up to interface with my flat screen TV. On the web page there are many links to online media which can be viewed on TV after a laptop or desktop pc is hooked up to it.

NAVIGATION…
On the main page there are a series of icons along the top portion of the page under the page taskbar, all these icons are known as quick links to often used sites like facebook or twitter. Below the quick links are five sections, each one represents a theme or category of media.

The categories are my preference which include tech news, sports, movies, online tv, and news, most of these categories link to another page with five more sections, an example is CNN news category has a link “MORE NEWS” linking to CTV, CBC, MSNBC, ABC, and Global news.

After navigating through the news category, this will bring you to more categories with more related links to news, an example is CBC news category has links to shows like the Hour, Ottawa’s Evening News, and Toronto’s Evening News, all available from CBC online.

SITE MAP…
As the web site grows I’m sure it will become cumbersome to navigate for some people so I will be setting up a site map on the “about” page with links to all the media available through the web site.  Currently this is not set up as the site is just launched and the links are limited to five categories with five sub-links.

ABOUT…
The about page will link back to this blog as well as having the site map navigational list, it will also have contact information as we would love to receive feedback to all your comments for web content and ideas.
